Our Volunteers

We have a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers. The support and commitment of our volunteers is crucial to the work of Cornerstone Contact Centre.

We have many volunteer options including:

  • Work-Ready Community Volunteers
  • Placement Students
  • Short and Long Term Volunteers
  • Corporate Volunteering Opportunities

Regular Volunteers

Regular Volunteers

These ongoing volunteers are integral to the Cornerstone Contact Centre team

At Cornerstone Contact Centre, the majority of our team are volunteers. Our regular volunteers help to prepare and serve meals, clean up, pack and distribute food parcels, and assist the community in many different ways. Some of our volunteers have been with us for many years.

Work-Ready Community Volunteers

Work-Ready Community Volunteers

A great pathway into employment

Our community volunteers are community members who have often been a part of the Cornerstone Contact Centre meals community for some time, and want to get more involved and ‘give back.’ Volunteering is a great way to establish routine, structure and a good work ethic, and we find that our community volunteers often go on to find paid employment. We have lost some of our most diligent and hardworking volunteers to full time paid employment, and (while we miss them!) we think that’s a great thing. At Cornerstone, we are proud to provide pathways into employment for community members.

Placement Students

Placement Students

We provide several placement opportunities

At Cornerstone Contact Centre, we provide placement opportunities for Social Work students, Community Services students, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services students, and Criminology students. Placements at Cornerstone Contact Centre are suitable for students completing their second placement. If you are a student seeking placement, please get in touch.
